"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him." Colossians 1:15-16

Harper's Prayer Blog

This blog has been started as a prayer book for Harper Brown Stamps, born on January 16, 2009. Harper was born weighing 9 lbs and 12 oz, but immediately began having trouble breathing. Join us in praying for the healing of Harper's little body, for her parents Scott and Kelly, and for the doctors treating. Please feel free to leave your prayers and encouragement for her here. If you wish, leave your name, where you live, and a link to your blog.

Kelly and Scott,
Know that we are on our knees for you praying and pleading for the healing of your precious baby girl. I pray that this blog is a place of encouragement and hope for you - a place where you can come and draw strength knowing that our mighty and powerful God knows you, and knows your baby. He, and only He, is the miracle worker who formed Harper in your womb, and who created her for a special purpose. We, here in blog land, love you dearly and look forward to the day we see pictures on your blog of a bubbly little girl playing with Dawson!

On our Knees,

Scott and Kelly,
"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit hemself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will." Romans 8:26-27
When I first heard of Harper's condition on Friday night this verse immediately came to mind. Of course, I prayed for her healing...and at that moment it was so overwhelming that I asked the Spirit to intercede for me, for Harper, and for both of you. When our heart aches so deeply and when we are overcome with such emotion....He goes to the Father with groans that we cannot express. And for that, we are so grateful. I truly believe that each and every person posting prayers for Harper will commit to pray for her EVERYDAY until the day she is at rest in your arms at her home in one of her monogrammed dresses.
In Him,

T-shirt info.

I just want everyone to know, in case you're wondering, I am NOT, in ANY way, receiving a profit from these t-shirts. The company that we are working with is donating $10 to Harper. It does cost them some money to make the shirts, therefore, that is where the other $10 is going. I know that some of you have felt that myself or Melissa are making a profit on these, but I can assure you that that is NOT the case. The only thing I'm receiving in return is the JOY that comes with doing something to help my dear friends ~ Kelly, Scott and sweet Harper. Please, if there are any more questions, just ask! :) Thank you, Jess :)

Prayers from Tennessee-
Dear Sweet Harper (and your mommy and daddy too). I've been a blog stalker of your mommy's for quite awhile now - she is quite a woman! Since you were born three days ago, I have bathed you in prayer. You are such a strong little girl and you have Jesus on your side. What a testimony your family is! I will forever be grateful to you and your mommy and daddy for showing me just how strong faith can be! God Bless you little girl. - lori in Tennessee,

Kelly and Scott, I have been praying for sweet Harper and have her name on my bathroom mirror prayer list with a heart next to it...everytime I look at her name, I ask God to heal her body and bless your family for your faithfulness and love for Him. You all are an inspiration to us to seek Him more! I truly believe He hears the prayers of His children and is answering them!

Kelly, Scott, and Harper,
We live in Fayetteville just a few miles away from the hospital where Harper entered the world. It seems like everywhere I go (in town and on the internet), people are talking about Harper and praying for her healing. I join my prayers with the rest in asking the Father for complete healing for your precious little one. I ask that God would protect your hearts and minds during this time and prevent the enemy from attacking you in ANY way.

Father, it would seem that the whole world is watching to see what You will do in this situation. We ask you to do a work so big and so wonderful that many take notice and put their faith in You. Be glorified in this family, we pray.

A prayer from Patagonia, Argentina:

To your beuatiful family:

You dont know me but I feel like I know you. I found Kelly's blog somehow the day Harper was born. We are a family of 6 humans and assorted animals. I pray to God that he blesses you the way we have been blessed, with noisy chaos, lots of love and a little bit of grace everyday. I find solance in the the bit of good news you are getting as the days pass...I hope you do too. Take care of yourself and each other. And I think I speak for everyone here, we dont expect or want acknowledgment of the love we are sending to you. Eat sleep and enjoy your family.

Lil Miss Harper,

Let me just start by saying that you are a beautiful, strong, and courageous little girl, and I have been praying for you ever since your mommy went to the hospital Friday morning. You have been so brave throughout your five days on earth, and I know you have made and continue to make your mommy and daddy proud! There are a lot of people out here praying that you get well and get to go home soon! Keep being strong, sweet girl!

Kelly & Scott,
So much love we all have for you...and we've never even met. My husband and I will continue praying for you and praying you will soon get to hold your precious gift in your arms. Thanks for letting us share in this real life story of God's goodness and faithfulness.

Dear Scott, Kelly & Harper-

We are praying for you up here in Chicago. The Lord has blessed you Harper with two wonderful parents. I have been following your mom's story for a few months now and she is wonderful. You are wonderfully blessed with two loving parents. We will continue to pray for your family during this difficult time and pray for your complete healing. Hang in there you sweet baby. You need to get better so that your mom can dress you up in all the cute clothes she has and you can wear those adorable matching hats/bows. :)

Psalm 139: 13-16
"13 For you created my inmost being;you knit me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
16 your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

I pray right now that you have the peace & rest you need to carry on each day & know that you aren't alone in this time of stuggle that you guys are going thru.I hope you feel the love & strength of the Lord around you each & everyday.
