"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him." Colossians 1:15-16

Harper's Prayer Blog

This blog has been started as a prayer book for Harper Brown Stamps, born on January 16, 2009. Harper was born weighing 9 lbs and 12 oz, but immediately began having trouble breathing. Join us in praying for the healing of Harper's little body, for her parents Scott and Kelly, and for the doctors treating. Please feel free to leave your prayers and encouragement for her here. If you wish, leave your name, where you live, and a link to your blog.

Kelly and Scott,
Know that we are on our knees for you praying and pleading for the healing of your precious baby girl. I pray that this blog is a place of encouragement and hope for you - a place where you can come and draw strength knowing that our mighty and powerful God knows you, and knows your baby. He, and only He, is the miracle worker who formed Harper in your womb, and who created her for a special purpose. We, here in blog land, love you dearly and look forward to the day we see pictures on your blog of a bubbly little girl playing with Dawson!

Scott and Kelly,
"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit hemself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God's will." Romans 8:26-27
When I first heard of Harper's condition on Friday night this verse immediately came to mind. Of course, I prayed for her healing...and at that moment it was so overwhelming that I asked the Spirit to intercede for me, for Harper, and for both of you. When our heart aches so deeply and when we are overcome with such emotion....He goes to the Father with groans that we cannot express. And for that, we are so grateful. I truly believe that each and every person posting prayers for Harper will commit to pray for her EVERYDAY until the day she is at rest in your arms at her home in one of her monogrammed dresses.
In Him,

T-shirt info.

I just want everyone to know, in case you're wondering, I am NOT, in ANY way, receiving a profit from these t-shirts. The company that we are working with is donating $10 to Harper. It does cost them some money to make the shirts, therefore, that is where the other $10 is going. I know that some of you have felt that myself or Melissa are making a profit on these, but I can assure you that that is NOT the case. The only thing I'm receiving in return is the JOY that comes with doing something to help my dear friends ~ Kelly, Scott and sweet Harper. Please, if there are any more questions, just ask! :) Thank you, Jess :)

Bless this little one!

My prayers are with all of you. I hope little Harper recovers quickly!

Dear Harper,

You are one special little girl! I do not know you, or your Mommy and Daddy, personally, but I do know the God who created you and He is our Savior - yours and mine! He knitted you together inside your Mommy and you have been one anticipated baby! I check your Mommy's blog frequently and was so excited to see you'd been born. Even though you are having some difficulties right now, we are all believing that it is for some great purpose and we are trusting Jesus to heal you and to protect your Mommy and Daddy as they watch over you day after day. When I first saw your picture I was so struck by your beauty! You are so full of life and I can't wait to see your inner beauty grow as you heal and get older! I pray for you many times each day and can't wait to see how Jesus uses your life to bless His Kingdom! You are so special and so loved!

Dear Jesus, Thank you for Harper's life. Thank you for the miracle that she is. Please continue to heal her and to be with all her caregivers at the hospital. Bless her Mommy and Daddy, and the rest of her family, as they hold on to hope and faith in You during this difficult time. Renew them each day and encourage them with the constant presence of Your Spirit.
Amen

Sarah from GA

Dear Harper,

We don't know you, but we heard about your story through many different people who know and love your mama and her blog. What a beautiful baby girl you are. Even with the tubes that are helping you feel better one thing is for sure, you are a beautiful, perfect newborn baby girl. After hearing word of your arrival we have been on our knees praying for your little body to fight, fight, fight. We believe in miracles, and we pray BOLDLY that the Lord uses you to show the world that miracles happen in our midst!!

It is amazing the love you can have for a family you have never met before. I know it is because we all share the love of Jesus, and with that love comes a unity in HIS people.

You share the same special name as my 18 month old baby girl, Harper Faith, and every time I speak her name I think of you and lift up a prayer.

You are one brave and amazing baby girl. We promise to pray BOLDLY for God to heal your little body. We will pray for you without ceasing!

Dear Stamps,

Many people in NC are praying for you. We love you and you all are very special to us!

Precious girl...

Dear Harper,
We are praying for you! Your mommy and daddy too. And grandparents, and friends and everyone who loves you so much, though they just met you. God hears our cries for you. I know He will work your life for the good of His kingdom. The indelible mark you have made on the lives of so many strangers is just the beginning for you, little one. I pray that you will become a God-fearing woman, that will one day tell your own daughter about the special way you came into the world. I pray that your mommy and daddy will remind you each day of your life how many people care for you and think of you, reminded that God works miracles every day. So fight hard, Harper. We are all on our knees for you, sweet one!

With so much love and faith in our Healer,

Sweet Harper

Dear Kelly, Scott, and Harper:

You guys don't know me, but I've been praying for you ever since I re-found your blog (I think it may have been through Angie, even though I had found your blog a few weeks before and then lost the link). God is good, and I know that all of us - and many more not posting on here - have been lifting up prayers to Him for you. I cried when I first found out, and then I immediately started to pray. Harper is beautiful, and you guys are some of the best Christian role models for her. You are all so strong.

I know that this was unexpected, but God has a plan for each one of us. We are all praying constantly for you, and I pray that you'll continue to show the amazing strength you have been showing. Thank you for letting us into your lives. I pray that God will heal Harper as soon as He feels the time is right - although I know that we all want that to be right now! I know that God has a plan for beautiful Harper, and it includes all the people who are praying for her right now, all those people who know her name, all those people on their knees right now, praying to Our Father for all of you.

Peace and love in Christ,

Eleanor

Kelly, Scott, and Harper,
I don't know you, and just started reading your blog. I am praying for y'all so much, as we all know what the Lord God is capable of doing. He is good! I pray for you to feel a sense of peace as you wait, and for Harper to continue to get stronger every day. May the love you have for God continue to minister to so many thirsty people! Amen.

Sweet Baby Harper and family!

You have been on my mind since your Mama went in labor Friday morning. I checked all day waiting to see the first picture of you. When I came home that night late, I could not get to my computer fast enough to see pictures of you. My breath was taken away when I read the update and I could not believe it. I cried and prayed for you. I could not sleep that night worrying about you and you Mama and Daddy! My breath was taken away once again when I read your progress Saturday morning. You are one special girl!!

You have come into a family of such great people. I do not know them personally, although we probably live minutes from each other, but I know that they are some of the greatest Christian role models I have ever "met". It only makes sense that even you would come into this world and make such an impact on so many people with God's work on you over the last few days. Your Mama and Daddy do it everyday!!

We are continuing to pray for you and everyone in our life group has you on their prayer list as well. We are so excited to see you well and healthy (even though you look so healthy now, all 9lbs 12oz of you) and wearing all those adorable dresses with your name on them!!

He will heal you!! Praise God for everything he has done so far and what is to come!!

With Love...

Sweet Harper

Dear Sweet Harper,
Do you have any idea how many people know you by name and are lifting your name in prayer right this second? Jesus has a special plan for you. I believe that he is using you to touch and witness to so many.
Your mommy and daddy are very strong. I have been praying especially for strength for them. It is really hard to see your baby suffering. I have also been praying that God will give your mommy and daddy peace.
You have some really great doctors and nurses who are taking great care of you. I have been praying that God will grant them wisdom and clarity of understanding of how to treat you and make you better.
I pray especially for you sweet baby girl. I pray that you will continue to possess a fighting spirit and that you will continue to have strength. I pray that Jesus will reach down and completely heal your body. I pray that as you grow up that you will grow close to Jesus (I know that your mommy and daddy will tell you all about Jesus and all of the wonderful things that he has done).
Thank you, Harper, for letting me be part of your journey. I can't wait to watch you grow up to be a beautiful little girl!
Love,
Aubryn's mommy, Megan

Dear God I praise your name and thank You for this baby that You have sent to Kelly and Scott. I praised and have continued to praise Your name from the moment Kelly posted that You had granted her petitions with a pregnancy. I know that You have plans for Harper because you have assured us of it in Your word in Jeremiah 29:11. I am now asking that You heal Harper and allow her to grow stronger each moment and reach the point where Kelly and Scott can hold her in their arms and share their songs of joy with her. In Your son's name. Amen

Kelly, Scott, and Harper...I have followed your lives via the blog for many many months now and I know of the strength of your faith and have been blessed by it many times over by it. I will continue to pray for Harper's continued improvement and for the many opportunities are being presented to share your faith even more.

Praying for Harper

Dear Harper,

You are truly a miracle. I am believing that God will heal you completely. I have never prayed for something more in my life than I have prayed for you this weekend. Your sweet life has drawn me closer to God than I have been in a long time. God has a purpose for you and He is proving that day by day. You have touched my heart in a very big way. Know that we are praying for you and mommy and daddy here in Tennessee. Be strong, sweet girl!

For This Child I Have Prayed...

Kelly, Scott, & baby Harper,

We have been praying for without ceasing. We are so thankful to serve a God who heals and hears the prayers of His people. We, too, have spent many long hours in the NICU with our little one. During those days, we were over and over again reminded that God was in control. He was never once surprised by it, as I know He isn't surprised here either. As Hebrews 13:8 says, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." We are praying with confidence, because we know our God is doing a mighty work in sweet Harper's life.

"For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him..." (1 Samuel 1:27)
